To learn more about dolls and to share your interest with others, we invite men and women of all collecting experiences to talk with our Membership chair, Nancy Goldstein (email@example.com).
For nearly forty years Ann Arbor Doll Collectors (AADC) has fostered a wide range of collecting interests. Members collect contemporary fashion dolls, primitive cloth dolls, paper dolls, artist dolls, tourist dolls, antique European dolls, American modern dolls, and black dolls, to name a few. Conservation of dolls and doll repair are an important part of our shared interests as are doll costuming and literature about dolls. Some members bring decades-long doll knowledge to the club while others are just beginning to discover the fascinating histories and artistry of dolls. We come together to study, create, and support each other with shared knowledge, and to have fun in a spirit that is open to the study of dolls of the past and present.
It may surprise people to learn that doll collecting can be an inexpensive hobby that is right for the times we live in today. In AADC, there is no expectation of members owning or adding to costly collections. Rather, we work hard to bring a yearly lineup of quality educational programs that are included in our basic dues.
We welcome your inquiries about membership!
